The Wealthy Affiliate BBB Rating

The Wealthy Affiliate BBB Rating on the Better Business Bureau website is non existent. This is for a very good reason.

Wealthy Affiliate not accreditedSimply put, The Wealthy Affiliate does not appear in the ratings because it has never sought BBB accreditation.

In fact many online businesses do not appear in the ratings.

So it didn’t come as a surprise to me when I could not find a rating for the Wealthy Affiliate, or other similar programs.

BBB – In Their Own Words:

  • Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation.
  • Some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation.
  • BBB accreditation does not mean that the business’s products or services have been evaluated or endorsed by BBB.

BBB Customer Reviews ★★★★★

There are currently 5 reviews of the wealthy affiliate posted on the BBB site. Sure all 5 reviews aren’t positive, but that is common for most reviews. You really have to read between the lines to get a fair assessment of a product.

It surprises me that the BBB allows anyone to post a review of a business that hasn’t even applied for accreditation. Because this leaves the door open for abuse. Disgruntled customers or scammers can easily file fake complaints to benefit their own agendas.

BBB Ratings – Should they be ignored?

No! definitely not, the ratings shouldn’t be ignored for most bricks and mortar businesses. But personally I find the BBB ratings to be of little use in choosing any online program. It makes far more sense to check out the massive amount of reviews on a google search. Any search for reviews takes time and care to flesh out the real reviews from the fake reviews online.

Fake Reviews Online

There are many thousands of fake reviews online, this is a fact!!

Many positive reviews are written specifically to rope you into some program that will benefit the writer.

On the other hand, many negative reviews are written with the intent to guide you to an alternative product that will also benefit the writer.

Reviewers Have Agendas

Whichever way you look at it, any online review usually has an agenda. And to be completely honest  with you, my review of the Wealthy Affiliate is no different. This is because I stand to make a commission if you purchase a product from the Wealthy Affiliate through one of my Affiliate links.

However, I always recommend that any new referral only signs up for the free membership. There’s a ton of good information available with the free membership an it’s not too difficult to use this free information to get yourself started online. But, at some stage you’ll need some additional information to progress your online business to the next level.

Grow Your Business

BBB FistsAs you develop and advance your business it’s possible that you may like to upgrade to the paid membership. This is always an option, but as a free member you can always stay a free member.

You might prefer to trawl the internet to get the information you need. Trawling the internet looking for the best methods to learn affiliate marketing can be very, very frustrating and time consuming.

The Better Business Bureau Wealthy Affiliate BBB Rating isn’t available for good reason. There are many positive and negative reviews of the Wealthy Affiliate out there on the internet.

Just take care and keep your eyes open for other peoples agendas.

So What Is The BBB?

If you’re not quite sure what the BBB is then take a look at this short video.

Here is a transcript of the video:

I know you’ve heard of the Better Business Bureau but even after a hundred years of being a symbol of integrity I want you to truly understand who your BBB is.

We are an organization that was started by business owners and we received no state or federal funding.

In fact we are financially supported solely by the accredited businesses in central California and Inland Empire counties.

These are businesses that uphold the high standards of ethical business behavior set by the BBB and who are committed to our mission of advancing marketplace trust.

This support for business allows us to offer most of our services free of charge to the public and business community.

These services include complaint handling and business reviews, mediation and arbitration educational programs to inform at-risk groups such as students military members and senior groups of what they face regarding scams and fraud.

Services to protect the community from identity theft such as our free shredding event called shred it and forget it and we honor businesses during our ethics award for doing business the right way.

As you can see your BBB offers services that benefit businesses and consumers in the marketplace.

As a consumer you need to be sure about the honesty and integrity of a company which is why last year 170 million people contacted the BBB to check out a company before they did businesses and as a business owner we encourage you to take full advantage of the benefits of your BBB and credit issue.

These benefits include enhanced credibility, visibility and the opportunity to save time and money.
